Great place to sit and work, with good lunch opportunities at the 8th floor and a marvelous free Amsterdam view.
2 The Waag Society, Nieuwmarkt 4
Waag Society develops creative technology for social innovation. That's why there's free wifi in the building, but also at a great part of the Nieuwmarkt square. Take your pick in the summer.
3 De Ysbreeker, Weesperzijde 23
This former old cafe (started 1702) has made modern, open and spacy this year. Great place to have a coffee and free wifi, and certainly in summer to sit on the big terrace at the Amstel.
4 The cafe of Studio/K, Timorplein 62
Work here, surrounded by a lot of students of the university. Grab a movie in between.
5 De Balie, Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen 10
A cultural center, lovely place to work and good lunches (try their soups). Starters in Amsterdam use this place as an office to negotiate with clients.
